Wayfinding Software for TEFAF 2013

After the enormous reactions of the Wayfinding Software we developed for the ISE 2013, other Wayfinding Solutions were sold. Omnivision was glad to develop the Wayfinding Software for the TEFAF exhibition.
             

TEFAF Maastricht is the world’s greatest Art and Antiques fair.
                     

The Wayfinding Software was presented on several 47” Touch Kiosks from Philips. The visitors used the Wayfinding Software to navigate  the show floor, provide them with directions as well and also to find out more information about the exhibitors. The visitors used their fingers to make gestures to zoom in and out of the map and browse through to the exhibitors list.

Custom touchscreen application for Medicore.

For Medicore Omnivision developed a custom touchscreen application that can play videos on multiple displays.

While the video plays the ambient (DMX RGB LED) light changes synchronized with the video.

The system also triggers two wall mounted Android devices via WiFi to play the same video.

When no video is playing the displays and Android devices show a slideshow screensaver.

NXP used Omnitapps at Mobile World Congress 2013 Barcelona

NXP demonstrated a Noise Suppression comparison test with Omnitapps. Several standard touch applications had been used to provide more info about the company and there services with Jpegs, PDF files, Movies and Websites. The most important application for this exhibition was probably the customized application where a comparison test was done by listening to audio files. After the input was given users directly received the result of the total diagram about how often people preferred each solution over the others.
                                      
The total duration of the project, from request to finished product was less than two weeks. The customized touch software was realized within one week and imported in Omnitapps.
                   
The client was very thankful after the exhibition: “Omnitapps and especially the listening test were highly valued as booth demos. Thanks again for your support in the last few weeks!”

Reseller installation case of Omnitapps

See what you can do with Omnitapps. The American Omnitapps reseller VIZIONefx used Omnitapps in a recent installation at Syracuse University Athletics.

Together with 10 unique flat-panel displays, to be used as video footage stations. Omnitapps is used in addition on two individual Touch kiosks. One for a historical tribute to the #44, Syracuse Football’s iconic jersey number, and a second to highlight the myriad players who have gone on to compete in the National Football League (NFL).

Videowall Multi touch software

Based on the latest technologies the Omnitapps development team has build a 1×2 and 1×3 videowall multi touch application. This custom application was present at the Omnitapps booth at last ISE and shows multiple applications on a 1×2 screen. The 1×3 solution was shown at the Philips booth. Different sources of content like video, PDF’s, photo’s and text input was integrated in 1 application which can be touched by 1-4 persons simultaneously.
             
Specific this custom project delivered some experience technologies which provided positive results in terms of graphic performance. Therefore it is very likely that these smart development finds its way into Omnitapps as well.
                                   
Not only we developed custom solutions but also the standard Omnitapps Professional contains a Video wall solution Touch video wall or Touch Vidiwall is more and more common these days.
               
In the 2.2.9 update a special screen orientation “Videowall” can be chosen in Omnitappps Professional. For very large displays it can be necessary to move the Home buttons and some menus.
                  
Now you can shift different menus up & down to fit your design. You can shift:|
• The Home buttons can be moved towards the centre (middle) line
• The Main menu (Coverflow, Drag, Drag infinite) can be moved up/down
• The VideoJukebox menu can be moved up/down
• The DrawonVideo menu can be moved up/down
• The OmniTimeline menu can be moved up/down

At ISE 2013 we have launched the first version of our Cloud based Multi Touch software. We received great reactions about world’s first multi touch software which will save money on print, transport and handling costs of brochures.
                  
This software application is totally focused on creating a paperless environment for viewing, sending and managing PDF brochures. With the Omnitapps Cloud Brochure Selector the location (retail, tradeshow, information centre, etc.) never runs out of brochures and are always up-to-date. It is in fact a virtual brochure holder.
                            
Users can view, select and send the brochures to a Email address or print them directly. The users receive a mail with links to the selected PDF’s and can download the PDF’s from the Cloud drive.
                          
As a manager you can easily login into your online Content Management System (CMS) account to modify all your virtual brochure kiosks at once. With this CMS you can also modify other settings for each individual configuration, such as a background image, folder structure, attractor page and even a welcome page.
                     
With Omnitapps Cloud Brochure Selector you can manage the look and feel of the configuration on-line. An analytic tool gives you information about how many people selected which pdf(‘s).
                      
All the content is stored at the Amazone Cloud Drive and is automatically updated when there is any change in the configuration.

Omnivision was helping the visitors on their way at the ISE.

For a big show like ISE, visitors need more assistance to find their way around quickly and effectively.
That’s the reason ISE turned to Omnivision to provide an interactive, touch-enabled wayfinding system. This was not only for 2013 but 2014 and 2015 we will provide this as well.
                         
The user interface was made as simple as possible but the integration of the Expocad Floorplan made this custom software a challenging order. All the data, including the dimensions and positions of the booths are coming from the Expocad database.
                             
The wayfinding solution features on eighteen different 47 inches kiosks from Philips, and on two ‘’Giant Tablets’’ and a 103” Touch screen provided by PresTop. ISE 2013 visitors did used the wayfinding solution to navigate around the show, provide the visitors with directions as well to find out more information about the exhibitors. Visitors used there fingertips to make gestures to zoom in and out of the map and browse through the exhibitors list. 
                      
We received a lot of great reactions from the visitors about our wayfinding solution. The kiosks were frequently consulted. Other way finding solutions will follow made by Omnivision. We have received the first applications at ISE already.
             

New version of Omnitapps Professional

Our goal with Omnitapps Professional is not having the most applications, but offering you a suite of applications which can be used at tradeshows, (hotel)lobbies, retail, musea, etc. With Omnitapps you can collect data and show all kind of information via one or more of our applications.
     
The strength of Omnitapps is that it can run on different screen sizes and equipment. A new growing market are the video wall touch screens. This is the reason why we offer you to choose between: table, totem, desktop and video wall configurations. This video wall configuration is new! This means that you can choose the position of the home button (in case you are using more than 1 application) and that for some applications and menu’s the position is changed. This is done because (for example a 2×2 display setup) bezels cross in the middle.

Intel Presentation

ISE and ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament Way finding

Omnitapps launches a brand new Multitouch wayfinding software application for the ISE organisation, to help visitors find their way around the world’s best-attended tradeshow for the professional AV and electronic systems industry for 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Omnivision will be exhibiting at Integrated Systems Europe 2013 in Amsterdam in Holland from January 29 until January 31th. 
 

ISE is the meeting point for the AV and systems integrators in Europe, attended by  manufacturers, distributors, integrators, specifiers and technology managers from over 100 countries worldwide.

New versions of Omnitapps

With Omnitapps Launcher it is now possible to launch configurations made with Omnitapps Professional or Desktop. Launcher is ideal for (retail) organizations, museums, rental companies, etc. where one person is responsible for the creation and many licenses are needed.

Also new is the Omnitapps Suite. The suite consist of one Professional or Desktop license with one Launcher license. The good news is also that the prices are lower!

So Omnitapps Launcher is actually the Budget answer to all the clients who need multiple versions of Omnitapps. It is a low-cost solution for running Omnitapps configurations. Omnitapps Launcher has no configurator and only runs exported configurations created with a licensed Omnitapps Professional or Desktop version 2.2.6 (or higher).

Omnitapps at the Gitex

At various booths was Omnitapps package used on all-in-one PC, touch screens and touch tables. Shuttle and ELO used Omnitapps to show its latest models all-in-one touch computers. Lumio and Vtron used Omnitapps to show the final six points touch touch screen, and the last 65 “Vtron Multi touch screen.
            

Philips and AOpen are parties which already bundling Omnitapps with their hardware. Philips Integrator Fractal showed Omnitapps on a BDT4225 touch table and a BDT55310EM/32 multi touch screen. AOpen bundles Omnitapps with her 22″ Hot Touch solutions.
             

Given the interest of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for a Philips screen with multitouch custom software we will seen many more projects with Omnitapps.
 

Omnitapps attending at the Viscom Spain 2012

18 to 19 October Omnitapps was again fully present at the VISCOM Spain 2012, at Feria de Madrid (IFEMA). This is one of the four VISCOM shows are held annually in Europe.
  

These fairs are a meeting place for people interested in digital signage. Omnitapps was extensively used by the big brands, among other Sharp / NEC / RPS Audiovisuales and Crambo.
   

Through the Multitouch Suite Omnitapps, visitors were interactively provide with information of OmniRequest.
   

Visitors interested in brochures can view these on the screen and requests them directly. You can export the information entered at a later time from the database so you can handle all requests.

Omnitapps update 2.1.1

The updated Omnitapps 2.1.1 download is ready. To meet the international demands even more we added some extra lanuages with corresponding digital Touch keyboards, fixed bugs and added a new possebility to insert self made custom menu buttons.

With this latest feature you can make your own menu buttons in a transparent PNG picture to improve the corporate identity in your own style. In the cofigurator you can disable the default menu buttons and show your own images as menu button with own names and outside the normal icon borders.

Present your media through a timeline menu.
Let your visitors swipe through a menu with your own topics.

Show your milestones, dates, products, etc. in a timeline.
After selecting one of the subjects the associated media will appear. Media can contain PDF, images and video.

Omnitapps version 2.0.1

After the successful ISE we have added all the tips and input from the users into the new 2.0.1 version. This version is now available for download, replacing the 1.3 version!

Besides the new Marker and Test application there are also several new features built in, making Omnitapps not may have the most applications but rather the applications which add value in terms of lead generation, information providing, cost savings, etc..
Furthermore, we had many requests for an off-line version of the manual and a quick quide so this is added and you will receive together with the installation of Omnitapps. Due to the many applications and possibilities to suit Omnitapps to your corporate identity and style the manual is 30 pages big.
Also new are the sample configurations that you will make clear what many opportunities Omnitapps offers. We have made configurations for museums, (auto) showrooms, lobbies, etc. These sample configurations, specially made for 2.0 can be found here

Omnitapps @ ISE

From 31 January till 2 February Omnitapps did some good business at the Intergrated Sytems Europe fair in Amsterdam.

At several booths in various halls played the latest version of Omnitapps Touch Software. Omnitapps is easy to adapt and graphical elements may appear on the program specially tailored for the concerned company by the end-user. That is one of the strengths of the Multi Touch Software. For demonstarting purposes Omnitapps was also playing in the booth of inAVate with a 55″ Tablet Touchsceen and a 42″ Kiosk Printer.
